Our Eye Tests and Hearing Tests for Your Residents
Our home-visiting opticians and hearing care specialists are trained to carry out tests in care homes and nursing homes. They have experience in dealing with the sensitive needs of the residents that live there and ensuring their privacy and dignity is always respected.
Each resident will be treated with privacy and dignity
We adhere strictly to The Code of Practice for Domiciliary Eyecare not only when we test eyes but also when we perform hearing tests. The Code states that all patients should be seen individually, this way we can ensure that residents are treated respectfully as individuals just as would be the case if they visited a high street practice. We are often asked about dementia, having many years of experience in dealing with clients with dementia, our refined examinations, dispensing and aftercare services have prove to be successful.
Making it easy for you
We understand how busy your staff are, so we aim to make sure our service is as seamless as possible. When we receive an enquiry from a care home or individual resident, we will arrange a suitable date and time of day for our optician or hearing specialist to visit. After performing the test, if it is found that any glasses or hearing aids are required, we can demonstrate a full range of solutions to suit different requirements, preferences, and budget. Once we have completed the test, we will leave an individual Patient Care Pack with all the details of the test, the results and how the resident will use their glasses or hearing aids. It will contain our free aftercare instructions and our contact details so that if you or the resident's family have any questions after we have left, we will still be on hand to help.
