Description
This microphone is part of the ConnectLine family from Oticon, which as a whole aims to better the lives of those with the communication difficulties associated with hearing loss. The ConnectLine Microphone works with the Streamer Pro (sold separately) to transmit the voice of the microphone wearer directly into your hearing aids via the Streamer Pro. This improves the signal to noise ratio, allowing for easier comprehension of the voice you want to hear.
Noisy Situations
There are many many applications for this technology. It will be for you and your partner if you struggle with conversation in a busy restaurant over dinner. It will make those business meetings over a quick coffee in a noisy café easier to process. It will be ideal when your daughter takes you out to do your shopping and have lunch afterwards.
Using the Microphone:
To use the device, it must first be paired with the Streamer Pro which can be done following the simple set up guide in the included manual. This will only need to be done once. The hearing aid user wears the Streamer Pro and their conversation partner will either clip the Microphone to their clothing or wear it on a lapel around their neck. To work most efficiently, the microphone should be within 10-20cm of the wearers mouth and should always point towards the mouth. If paired, when both devices are switched on and in range (up to 15m, depending on physical obstructions) they will automatically connect.
The device is charged from the mains and will reach full capacity in 1.5 hours. A full charge will give around 5 hours of usage. A constant red light will show from the power light when usage time left is less than 20 minutes.
Compatibility:
The Connect Microphone is compatible with all hearing aids which work with the Oticon Streamer Pro. These are Alta2, Nera2, Ria2, Dynamo and Sensei hearing devices. If your hearing aid is not listed please feel free to get in touch and we can check your hearing aid compatibility for you.
